Hotel Baía is committed to preserve the environment and promote sustainable practices, in order to keep improving always. Since 2010, with the EcoHotel certificate by TUV Rheinland and in 2016, in partnership with ABAE, we have been implementing good environmental and social practices, to enhance environmental management and promote environmental education for sustainability among our guests and clients. Therefore, we have annually validated our Green Key Award, which fills us with pride.

Among the measures we have adopted to save water are: the installation of water flow reducers in all our taps, flushing toilets with 2 flush modes and information boards in our public toilets and in the rooms, warning about the reduction of water consumption.

In line with the Green Key values, we seek to develop daily practices that reduce energy consumption, the use of plastics and the waste of water and food. We are aware of environmental impacts and we believe that we can raise awareness of these issues among our team, customers, suppliers and the community.

Last 25th March, during planet hour, we turned off the lights and all non-essential electronic devices. In addition, we served a candlelight dinner with a vegetarian menu, with the aim of avoiding the consumption of animal protein and raising awareness of the role that each one plays in protecting the environment.

Green Key certification is an important way to ensure that we are doing our part in preserving the environment. We are proud to have received this certification, which aligns with our values and motivates us to continue adopting sustainable measures and promoting environmental education for sustainability.

We believe that every small gesture counts and that together we can make a difference for a more sustainable future.
